Dr. Johnson
Dr. Kari (KJ) Johnson grew up in central California and in Idaho, tending to a variety of crops and animals in 4-H and FFA. The FFA motto still rings true to her heart: “Learning to Do, Doing to Learn, Earning to Live, Living to Serve.”
She graduated from Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine before we had the Internet but after the advent of indoor plumbing. The challenge of diagnosing and fixing things —be they bicycles, radios, dogs, or cats —remains a life-long rewarding passion for her.
In her spare time she enjoys biking, rafting, swimming, paddle boarding, being in the sun, collecting watches, shopping for bowties, reading Ann Patchett novels, playing mahjong and DnD, and watching Slow Horses on TV. She shares her home with her brilliant spouse of 30 years, an orange cat with extra toes, two devious long-haired dachshunds, and a simpleton golden doodle.
